New Salary Cap Hockey Game!

After the debacle with Fast Point cancelling the salary cap hockey fantasy game, a new one has popped up that is run by former players of the game. Here's a message from Daniel Gustafsson.

I've sent personal messages to most of you guys. But I want to push our case here as well.

The thing is that we started working on our project earlier this Spring since we had grown tired of the way Rotohog was treating the Salary Cap format. Therefore it was an easy thing to pick up the pieces from where we left off when the Facebook app imploded.

And today our little project has gone public so help us getting rid of the last bugs by joining our one week's open beta test. We're very likely to pull this off and have a free for all game up and running well ahead of the 1st of December which will be the first day of action, cheers!

The web design will gradually improve and we will along the way implement any functions.

Join us here.

If you want to join my league, it's called "First League". No password.

Fast Point Salary Cap Fantasy Hockey Game DOA

And after a week of play, the Hockey Salary Cap fantasy game offered by Fast Point is toast. What a bunch of idiots. Still haven't got my refund yet.

Salary Cap hockey is back for 2011/2012 season!

The salary cap fantasy hockey game is being hosted by its third company in three years! Fastpoint is now in charge of the game through facebook. Ultimate is now called Premier and Basic is just Basic.

Also... Kafenatid has their schedule grid available as well as the game counter. Click the links to the right.

Salary Cap hockey is back for 2010/2011 season!

The Sporting News is no longer offering salary cap hockey but Rotohog has picked it up. Ultimate is now called Premier and Basic is just Basic.

For whatever reason, it's not accessible through the games section of their website but the link above will get you there. You probably have to register to see it. I know I had to.

tsnp/g

The Sporting News has a new platform for the fantasy hockey game and it basically sucks compared to what we had the past 5 years. The most glaring absence, at least to me, is no tsnp/g column. I've created a spreadsheet here that has tsnp/g for games completed up to the morning of Oct 13th. These are the top 150 points/game players, who's stats I grabbed from Sportsnet, hits from ESPN's expanded scoring and hat tricks from Canoe Slam. Shootout goals, misses and OT goals are not included. I'll try to update this every week.

2009/2010 NHL Schedule Grid

I've created a schedule grid for the 09/10 season. Dark grey is 3 in 4's or 4 in 6's. Light grey is 4 in 7's. There are a few times in the season where there are 4 in 5's and they are in black. I also created a game counter but a better one is available at kafenatid (to the right under "USEFUL LINKS").
